| Getting ready to say goodbye....again. | | As some know here my husband; who is adopted; found his birth parents. They were never married and his dad was living all this time about 2 hours away from us! His mom is in Montana....we are in Colorado.
So we met David....and I fell in love with this wonderful sweet and kind man. He was such a breath of fresh air with his polite and sweet nature and his quiet voice. He's an amateur artist that has painted many pictures of the mountains he and his wife have loved all their married years.
David buried his beautiful wife six years ago...although we never met her we felt that she was perfect for him.
They never had children....and then here we show up on his doorstep with a smile and a picture of a woman he loved long ago.
He could have done many things...but he welcomed us into his beautiful home and we started a new found relationship...one with friendship as the main ingredient...love and respect came next.
David is in his eighty's and he is dying....slowly of age and complications of his advanced age.
Right now he is fighting his second bout with pneumonia. And he was not doing well yesterday when we raced up the mountain to his nursing home....he wouldn't eat and he... | |

Its been said already but let me say it again.... | | It makes no sense to request friendship if you are not going to be active on here.I still have some friend request to accept or deny but the activity of these persons have just not budged since they first sent me those request.I approve some request much faster than others based on how active they are in mylot. I do not need a huge friend base, just friends who are active participants in the mmylot community.So please... If you are not going to stick around please stop sending friends request. There some of us here I know who do not get on as much as we would like to. The mylotters I refer to are those whose numbers remain the same even months after they send their friendship request.Guess I'll just go and deny some longstanding request now. Really never done that before (as far as I can remember).Do you feel annoyed when this happens to you also? | |

In high school it was the handwritten chain letters. At work it is the chain emails......and now I am getting chain text messages! I hate 'em! I have a couple of friends who may be about to get their feelings hurt because I am tired of getting charged for the garbage they choose to text me. If you want to send a means-nothing-I-was-just-bored text then just say hi. Don't bother me with the "forward to 10 people or all of your fingernails will fall off". I mean seriously!! | |

| Say It Again?=) | | most of us have their own "expressions". i mean whenever we're happy, excited, sad or scared...we can't help utter some "words..."I for instance usually say "Kalokah!" (in english means got me crazy). i usually say that when i laughed or chat with someone eagerly."Mamma Mia!" - i used that phrase too when i was a bit shocked or scared.what about you? | |
